What is Anmeldung?

Anmeldung is the mandatory registration of your address with the local authorities in Germany. Every resident, whether German or foreign, must complete this process within 14 days of moving into a new home.

Why is it Important?

  • You receive your official registration certificate (Meldebescheinigung)
